What up bitches

So as you can see, I haven't really posted anything here. I do my posting on myspace. The problem is that I cannot do myspace from work. So you would think I would post here, but the problem is myspace is nice and handy to post and have people read it. I know I am rambling right now, but I am at work and I don't care. The System is struggling. If you don't know what the system is, go to my myspace blog (listed below) and read it. Since I never use this thing except to post messages on the best Lost blog ever, I didn't know that I could once and for all merge my blogger account with my Google account. Hoo-ray! I can sleep at night now. Good shit. I had some other things to dabble in, but now I don't remember. Whatever. Back to solitaire.

Oh Fudge

Yeah, I am screwed. So much for the working out plan. Chalk it up to a combo of lazy and intimidation. I also underestimated the task of traveling 26.2 miles on foot. (Yes, I said traveling on foot, not running). I was given my official time limit, 10 hours. I think this big boy is walking it. I am just too out of shape. That's what 4 years of excessive drinking and no exercise does to you. Let's just say that if you have met me anytime after about 2001 or so, you would be surprised to see my prom pictures. I was a sexy bitch! Now I need to get back to it.

Well yesterday I finally started working out, and I think I am finally going to stick to it. I got an extremely sobering call from Victor. He just ran the half marathon in KC. For those of you that don't know Victor, he probably has about 5 inches of height on me, and I probably got about 40 or so pounds on him, and he is in better shape than me. He said the half marathon was brutal. And I was surprised at what he said the worst part was. He said he wasn't extremely winded, but his feet were killing him. So I am going to actually start preparing. I figure that if I can walk 4 mph, I will finish in about 8:30. I walked for about an hour last night, and at least I wasn't winded. But I can tell my body is rusty. Hopefully 2 months of walking and maybe even some jogging will knock enough rust off. So I decided to walk around Wayne Newton's house last night. He lives about .5 miles from me. I kinda feel bad for him. He has this huge chunk of land. I don't feel bad for him for that, but when he got it 10, 15, 20 years ago, it was the middle of nowhere. It was probably all nice and quiet. But now there is shit all around him. He is across the street from 2 gas stations and a Jack in the Box. If you want to see his chunk of land, go to google maps and enter this address: 3351 E Sunset Rd Las Vegas, NV 89120. Then click on Satellite and you can see a picture of it. I don't know if that is his real address, but it works for this exercise. It is the land that is on the SW corner of Pecos and Sunset. By the way, google maps is fantastic. I highly highly recommend it. Anywho, I was walking around his estate last night. Nothing interesting there, just that I felt pretty decent after it. The only problem was that I was bored as hell. I think I need to steal Marla's ipod when I work out now.

We actually won another softball game a few weeks ago. We have 4 games left this season. So far through 3 seasons we are a combined 2-36. Pretty frustrating. We should've won last week. We were winning by 3 going into the bottom of the last inning. Their tieing runner was on 3rd, and our shortstop fielded a grounder. End the game, right? Nope, how about throw away the ball, tieing run scores, and winning run moves to second. Ouch. You know what eventually happened.

By the way, I didn't think I was coming home for Thanksgiving, but it looks like I am now. Start planning Wednesday Night. Also, Turkey Bowl XIV. Wow, XIV.

Workin Out

So I am actually working out. I struck a brilliant plan with MarLa. I said that if I go two days without working out, I lose Madden for a week. Pretty good motivation. I may just go tonight even though I went last night.

Fantasy Football

I know you don't care, but here is how I did in my two drafts I had so far...

West Park League (12 Teams)
I had the 10th pick. Which means in the even rounds I had the 3rd pick.
1. Steven Jackson
2. Cadillac Williams
3. Randy Moss
4. DeShaun Foster
5. Donald Driver
6. Darrell Jackson
7. Mike Bell
8. Matt Jones
9. Ben Watson
10. Michael Clayton
11. Jake Plummer
12. Jay Feely
13. Miami
14. Sammie Parker

Vegas Heat (6 teams)
This league is weird. Only 6 teams. Which means everyone's team is stacked. I had the 2nd pick and the 5th pick of even rounds.
1. Shaun Alexander
2. Cadillac Williams
3. Larry Fitzgerald
4. Willis McGahee
5. Antonio Gates
6. Donald Driver
7. Tom Brady
8. Darrell Jackson
9. LaMont Jordan
10. Rueben Droughns
11. Derrick Mason
12. Marc Bulger
13. Shayne Graham
14. Miami
15. Ben Watson

There you have it. I know you don't care, so F off.

Wow, I Am Lazy

So yesterday I finally went over to the gym. That's right, I have started training about 3.5 months before the marathon. This should be interesting. Very interesting considering I was struggling with ONE mile. So unfortunately (fortunately for my lungs and wallet) I decided that yesterday was my last day of smoking. Cold Turkey. I had just started a new brand too and was liking it. Oh well. Hold on a minute, I'm gonna throw in a dip. Who says you need gums to run? Plus I can do this at my desk and not go out into the 100+ air. The scale wasn't too kind to me yesterday either. I am not going to share with you what it said, not yet anyways. Let's just say it is up there. What's kinda funny is that I was planning on starting my training when softball season ended, which was like a month or so ago. So now I finally start training and the next season is starting up in two weeks. I am thinking I will start off with a majority of my working out in the pool. That will build up my stamina while also losing some lbs. That way it will be easier to run, you know, with the fewer lbs and the more stamina and whatnot. One thing I totally forgot about was that the gym I go to is like Stripper Central. And Hot Housewife Central. That makes working out a little easier. And also there are a lot of "normals" like me, so I don't stand out like a sore thumb amongst the Strippers, Housewives, and Juicers. I promise to start updating more from now on. I have real internet finally at my new apartment. Actually, that deserves its own paragraph.

I GOT INTERNET AND CABLE AT OUR NEW APARTMENT. Finally. It has been 8 1/2 long months without cable. Ever since Bitcho kicked me out of her house and I moved into Mark's House I've been sans cable. I have never seen the Colbert Report. No cable. I missed the last season of South Park. No cable. It really isn't that bad once you get used to it. But it is nice having real internet now. Before I was mooching off of someone's wireless network in the neighborhood. So of course the first thing I did when I set mine up was to lock it to keep people like me out. I can download music again, and just got into the game of downloading movies. And porn is so much faster now. Much faster.

A random fact. This is the first time Marla and myself have lived together while dating. Other times we have lived together include:

Sophomore year: She moved to Dayton and got her own apartment, but I wasn't living there. We spent most of the time in our kick ass 4 person suite that always had 8 people in it (Me, Gutbrod, Chuck, Andy plus 4 girlfriends) and a puppy (Gracey). I think that suite experienced the most sex ever in a one year span.

Junior year: We lived together at good ol 212 Rubicon, but it wasn't just us. Throw in a little Spencer, Harmon, Szeremet, and Hoy (and Maggie when she replaced Marla halfway through).

Senior year: We weren't dating and I was at the best house ever Deeeeeeez Nutz (Victor, Jonh, Harmon, Howard).

A few months after Senior year: We moved out to Vegas together and shared an apartment, but we weren't dating at the time. We shared a 2 bedroom apartment.

After that apartment: We moved around the corner to a different apartment and picked up another roommate (Sabrina).

After that apartment: Marla moved back to Cleveland and I moved in with Bitcho (someone Marla and myself had worked with).

After that house: She kicked me out in about 4 months and then I moved in with Mark.

Then she moved back out here and we have our own apartment. So since I went away to college in August 2000, I have lived in 10 places. (Marycrest, Kettering, Rubicon, Evanston, Parent's house, Courtney's Bay, Montana, Bitcho's, Mark's, and now Rancho Ocaso) 10 places! That is a lot of moving, and that doesn't even count Marla's apartment Sophomore year.

Sorry if I bored you with all of that. Actually, I'm not sorry. It's my blog and I can do what I want to.

You know what is pretty funny? I just ran a spell check, and they bring up "blog" for checking. That is just funny to me, sorry.

Greetings Y'all

So softball is over. Which means marathon training must begin. Our winning-challenged work team won a game! That makes us 1-27 over two seasons. We probably would've won two games, but your truly walked too many people at the end of the 2nd game. Their crappy girls finally realized they should stop chasing my shit and start taking walks. My other team closed out the season with 4 straight wins to take 2nd place. Not too shabby. Marathon training will start Monday. Monday because I a busy until then. I have to go to the driving range tonight. I haven't golfed in about 4 years. Seriously. And I am playing Friday when I go home for a family reunion, so I better at least swing the clubs a few times before hand. Then on Wednesday I am going to my friend's bar that is closing for the last night of kareoke (I don't feel like using my spell check). Then Thursday night I fly out on the red eye and come back Sunday, that is why I am starting Monday. A full 2 months behind schedule. That doesn't sound too good. I'm thinking I put in a pain in the ass August and Septmeber and I will be back on schedule. I'm also moving on August 8, me and Marla are finally getting an apartment. That should be nice. Anywho, back to work.

More Softball

Man, our work team isn't very good. We just "improved" to 0-10. I played decent at shortstop. I made a fan-fucking-tastic catch, but when I was trotting around and celebrating and basking in my glory like an ass, the runner tagged up and scored from third. Oh well, I guess that one run didn't matter too much.
I haven't made any posts about my training because, I um, have been training mentally so far. That's the ticket.

Also, a random note. I was just wondering if anyone reads this poor excuse for a blog. Make a comment if you do. Just curious. Off to the showers now. I promise to start updating this more.
