More Softball

Man, our work team isn't very good. We just "improved" to 0-10. I played decent at shortstop. I made a fan-fucking-tastic catch, but when I was trotting around and celebrating and basking in my glory like an ass, the runner tagged up and scored from third. Oh well, I guess that one run didn't matter too much.
I haven't made any posts about my training because, I um, have been training mentally so far. That's the ticket.

Also, a random note. I was just wondering if anyone reads this poor excuse for a blog. Make a comment if you do. Just curious. Off to the showers now. I promise to start updating this more.

At Least Our Borders Are Secure...

So tomorrow is our company picnic. Should be ok. Well as some of you know, we have a manufacturing plant in Mexico right across the border in San Luis, Mexico. It is right across from San Luis, Arizona about 20 minutes south of Yuma. Anyways, tonight some of the guys from the Mexico plant were going to come up here tonight for the picnic tomorrow. I always have a good time with them in Mexico when I go down there, so I was going to meet up with them tonight and disgrace my Irish/German/Italian heritage and get out-drinked tonight by them. Well apparently the computer that scans the Mexican passports/Visas was down so they were stuck at the border. So no going out tonight, which is probably a good thing since I need to save money.

Marathon update. I still haven't worked out yet, been super busy. But Marla has started working, so I better do something this weekend.

Softball Update

Since I play on two different softball teams, I figured for the hell of it I would update results and whatnot.

Tuesday June 13
Indigo Joe's (3-1)
Game 1 - DNP (Too many people from their work wanted to play)
Result: ???
Game 2 - DNP (same as above)
Result: ??? (I didn't bother going since I knew I wouldn't play.)

Wednesday June 14
Gaming Partners International (0-4)
Game 1 - DNP (We had too many people, and being a good coach I took a turn sitting out).
Result: about 30-5 (Mercy ruled in the 3rd)
Game 2 - 1 for 2 with a single. No RBI. 1 K as a pitcher.
Result: 19-4 (Mercy ruled in the 4th)

Yes, my work team needs some work.

Bloggin Time

So here's the deal. This blog (I hate that word by the way) is to track my progess. Progess of what you may ask. Well I am running the Las Vegas Marathon, in 6 months and 2 days. This is crazyness on my part. I hated running when I was in shape, let alone out of shape. So why am I doing this? Why not? And fuck off if you say I won't. Two reasons. 1, I don't want to wash myself with a rag on a stick in 7 years. B, monetary. I made a $500 bet that I would finish the Las Vegas Marathon. So there's a reason. And also, I was a sexy bitch in highschool. I know that if I finish this I will lose some lbs. Plus, there is a $500 bonus if I finish under 5:30 hours. Here's the fun part. I haven't started working out yet. Maybe at least now I will get some use out of my Las Vegas Athletic Club membership. I have set a tenative date to start working out. The day Marla starts working. See, I am a considerate person. Marla just moved out here and hasn't started working yet. So it wouldn't be very cool of me to go work out for 2 hours after work while she is all bored. Her orientation is tomorrow, so she may start in a day or a week, we will find out. So it shall be fun. Anyhoo, that is the plan. I will also update with some random shit from time to time. If you follow my myspace page, you know I don't update often, so don't expect the best page ever. But I will be updating my marathon shit. Here is the website for the marathon if you are interested. http://www.lvmarathon.com/
